Admission Policy

Entry requirement for all programmes at Kings College London vary from programme to programme. Applicants normally have a first or second-class degree or equivalent, or comparable professional experience. Applicants are welcomed from UK, EU and overseas.

Enrollment Procedure & Policies:

Maintain the high academic standards for which we are known, create a student body that is balanced and diverse in terms of background and experience, with all the educational and cultural benefits that this brings and to recruit students who will engage with and contribute to the intellectual and cultural vitality of the College:

1. The minimum age for registration at KCL is 18 years.
2. Once we have received your application (with attested copies of academic documents), the KCL Admissions Office will take prompt action and follow these procedures:-
• Review your schools’ and colleges’ certificates
• Review references from your employer/ academic as provided by you or requested by us
• Telephone interview, where judged to be necessary, and forward educational documents for authentication to relevant Institutions/universities or our agents/consultants can send us information about your qualifications and can do interview on the behalf of KCL.

Note: If students are waiting for their results, provisional admission will be granted. However, the final admission will only be given once the certificates (or letters) are submitted.

We are happy to consider (Through Telephonic interview or agents information /recommendations) a wide range of qualifications and previous experience when assessing an individual's ability to benefit from studying at KCL

3. After your application has been successful and you have received our acceptance documentation, you can start making arrangements for tuition fees to be sent to the College. If you are paying your fees from overseas please ask your bank to issue a certified Banker's Draft/Cheque payable directly to Kings College London, you can send this Draft/Cheque to us by courier or registered post. If your fees are to be paid by sponsor in the UK please ask the sponsor to telephone the College to arrange an appointment to see the Admissions Officer.

 

 4. If for any reason a course is cancelled, students will be offered an alternative course, or a full refund of fees.
5. If students change their course of study during the term, no refund will be given if the revised course involves fewer subjects.
6. Students are required to maintain consistent attendance throughout the duration of their course. Holders of student visas are advised that the college will enforce HOME OFFICE rules and insist that a full-time course of a minimum of 15 hours per week of daytime study is followed.
7. Failure to attend class for 2 weeks (without prior notice) will result in dismissal from the college.
8. It is the students personal responsibility to ensure that examination registrations are in order and are sent to the relevant examining bodies by the due closing date.
9. Overseas students must comply strictly with the Immigration Rules.
10. The KCL reserves the right to refuse admission to any student.
11. KCL also reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student without a refund of fees in the event of serious misconduct or unsatisfactory attendance / progress.
Note: Failure to report for classes at the agreed starting date, without notice, will result in the forfeiture of fees and the HOME OFFICE will be notified.
12. The KCL reserves the right to change the time of the scheduled courses.
13. The college Prospectus is correct at the time of printing but is subject to alteration.
14. We are required by the HOME OFFICE to record student attendance and supply student details when requested.
15. Fees must be fully paid to date to allow a student to attend classes, sit for any examination and use KCL facilities.
